VACANCY
Satemwa Ulendo Lodges is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the post of a Tour Guide tenable in Thyolo at Satemwa Tea Estate.
The Guide will be reporting to the Manager.
MAIN DUTIES
- Welcoming and greeting guests on arrival
- Planning and coordinating with the office guests’ activities during the day
- Do guided walks within the tea and coffee fields
- Do bird walks with the guests and explain to them more about birds.
- Walk with guests at the tea factory for tea tasting
- Educate the guests more about tea and coffee
- Explain more history about the tea to the guests.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Diploma in Tourism Management with at least 2 years working experience as a guide, should have a valid driving license, should have at least 2 years’ experience in bird watching as a guide.
SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Should be fluent in English, Excellent in communication skills (both written and oral) Interpersonal skills, High moral, ethical and professional standards, High integrity.
