Project Manager-Climate-Resilient Children’s Health (LTK & Digital Health)

Save the Children

The Opportunity

Save the Children (SC) is seeking a Project Manager – Climate-Resilient Children’s Health (LTK & Digital Health) to lead implementation of the FutureGuard: GCF–JNF Climate-Resilient Children’s Health Initiative in southern Malawi. This initiative is implemented under the Green Climate Fund (GCF)-funded Climate Resilient Health and Well-Being for Rural Communities (CHWBRC) Programme (2025–2029), where Save the Children Malawi serves as a co-executing agency alongside government partners.

FutureGuard focuses on scaling up the Learner Treatment Kit (LTK) in schools, strengthening Integrated Community Case Management (ICCM) for under-five children, and expanding digital health systems (ICHIS) to improve climate-informed disease surveillance, service delivery, and continuity of care. The initiative contributes to national efforts to reduce climate-related disease risks and strengthen resilient health and education systems for children in vulnerable rural communities.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the effective planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the FutureGuard project. Reporting to the Programme Director – GCF Climate Resilient Health and Well-Being for Rural Communities (CHWBRC), the role will provide strategic and operational leadership for LTK scale-up, digital health integration, and ICCM interventions across Balaka, Ntcheu, Mangochi, Zomba, Phalombe, and Machinga districts. The postholder will work closely with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, the National Malaria Control Programme, district authorities, and implementing partners to support institutionalisation of LTK and drive resourcing and implementation of the national LTK scale-up plan.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
