INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER

Job Purpose

To manage the infrastructure projects and Allied services in line with Banks Strategy around Property and Infrastructure development. The Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing all bank-owned and leased properties, facilities, and physical infrastructure. This role ensures that NBS Bank’s branches, offices, and Service Centers are safe, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise in property and facilities management, and the ability to balance operational efficiency with customer experience.

Summary of key Responsibilities

  • Oversee acquisition, leasing, and disposal of bank properties.
  • Manage contracts with landlords, tenants, and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with property laws, regulations, and lease agreements.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
  • Supervise repairs, renovations, and upgrades across all bank facilities.
  • Ensure all properties comply with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Implement fire safety, security, and environmental sustainability measures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities.
  • Prepare annual infrastructure budgets and monitor expenditures, ensuring contracts are negotiated.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for infrastructure investments.
  • Lead infrastructure development projects (new and refurbishments) ensuring projects are done on time.
  • Manage/build relationships with government agencies, regulators, and local authorities and outsourced service providers.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on property performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, Architecture, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in property or facilities management and Project Management (e.g., IFMA, RICS, PMP, Prince2, CIFM) are an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in property, infrastructure, or facilities management in financial services sector or dynamic industries such as energy and telecommunications.
  • Proven track record in project management, budgeting, and vendor negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
