ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Malawi Cargo Logistics Limited, a One-Stop Cargo Handling and Logistics service provider managing the Dar-es-Salaam Corridor linking Malawi to the port of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, has a vacancy for the position of a ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT in its finance department at its Lilongwe office.

Job purpose

Duties of the Accounts Assistant will include but not limited to the following:

• Posting of financial transactions into Nominal ledger
• Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
• Production of daily, weekly and monthly financial reports
• Maintaining Nominal ledger in sage accounting package

A detailed job description for the position will be provided upon taking up the employment offer.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting by Public Accountants
• Examination Council of Malawi (PAEC) or its equivalent.
• A minimum of three years post qualification experience in accounting section in a busy and reputable organization.
• Must be comfortable working on any accounting package. Those with experience in sage accounting package will have an added advantage but it is not a “must”
