SERVICE CENTRE MANAGER- BLANTYRE

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Head of Retail Cluster, the successful candidate’s responsibility will be to manage, support and grow the Service Centre portfolio in line with retail Banking Strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Developing and implementing annual, monthly, and weekly operating plans in line with business objectives.
  • Managing and nurturing customer relationships to drive retention and acquisition.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and operational procedures, including risk and cash management controls.
  • Overseeing staff performance, staffing levels, training needs, and ensure excellent customer service standards across the branch.
  • Monitoring branch financial performance, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to achieve set targets.
  • Managing credit applications, conduct site visits, monitor bad debts/overdrafts, and engage clients to regularize accounts.
  • Safeguarding bank assets, ensuring adequate cash and security, and maintain branch ambience in line with brand standards
  • Providing input into budgeting and resource planning, monitor variances, and drive cost containment measures
  • Representing the branch at business functions, exhibitions, and community events to promote products and services
  • Managing the overall risk within the Service Centre in line with internal Risk policy and regulatory Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • Certification in Retail Banking will be an added advantage.
