POSITION: INSURANCE CLAIMS OFFICER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, register, assess, and process insurance claims in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Investigate claims to determine validity, extent of liability, and settlement amounts.
- Liaise with clients, brokers, service providers, loss adjusters, and assessors on claims matters.
- Ensure timely, fair, and accurate claims settlement in line with service level agreements.
- Prepare claims reports, recommendations, and settlement proposals for approval.
- Detect and report fraudulent or suspicious claims in accordance with internal controls.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date claims records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company claims guidelines.
- Provide quality customer service and clear communication throughout the claims process.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional insurance qualification (e.g., ACII, Dip ClI, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in insurance claims handling with high level of integrity
- Sound knowledge of insurance principles, policy wordings, and claims procedures.
- Strong analytical, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and claims management systems.
