Drone Operator

Job Summary

The Drone Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of drones to support aerial surveillance and monitoring activities. The role ensures compliance with aviation regulations, company policies, and client requirements while delivering high-quality operational outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate drones for aerial surveillance, monitoring, and data capture as directed
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure drone safety and functionality.
  • Maintain accurate flight logs and operational records.
  • Monitor drone performance and report any technical issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation laws, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Assist in planning flight paths and operational schedules in coordination with supervisors.
  • Safeguard collected data and ensure its secure transter and storage.
  • Support security operations by providing aerial footage and situational awareness.
  • Maintain and care for drone equipment, including batteries, cameras, and sensors.

Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes

  • Certificate/Diploma in Aviation, Security Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in drone operation.
  • Valid drone pilot license or certification.
  • Strong knowledge of drone systems, safety protocols, and aviation regulations.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and under pressure.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with drone software applications.
  • High level of discipline, integrity, and attention to detail.
