Archivist

The position is responsible for collecting, preserving, organizing, and managing documents and records. This requires a highly organised person with research abilities and great attention to details.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Protect and maintain historical documents and digital records..
  • Classify and catalogue materials.
  • Create detailed descriptions for easy retrieval.
  • Develop policies for acquisition, storage, and handling of materials.
  • Manage electronic records and digitize physical materials.
  • Maintain and update archival databases.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Should have a minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Library Science or Information Management.
  • Strong organizational and research abilities.
  • Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Knowledge of preservation techniques and digital archiving tools.
