VACANCY: MACADAMIA ORCHARD MANAGER

Contract Duration: 2 Years (Renewable)
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Macadamia Orchard Manager to oversee the planning, establishment, and management of our macadamia nut orchards. This is a full-time, on-site role demanding strong leadership and a commitment to high-quality, sustainable production
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise all orchard activities: planting, pruning, fertilization, irrigation, and harvesting.
- Monitor and manage orchard health, pests, and diseases.
- Manage, train, and supervise field workers and laborers.
- Ensure adherence to Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and environmental stewardship.
- Maintain accurate records (labor, inputs, yields) and prepare reports/forecasts.
- Oversee maintenance of irrigation systems and assist in post-harvest operations.
- Support sustainability initiatives (soil conservation, cover cropping, etc).
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a commercial orchard (macadamia or similar tree crop preferred).
- Proven ability to manage teams and strong knowledge of pest/disease control, soil fertility, and irrigation.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
