LawiAir Limited, incorporated as an air charter company with its principle base of operations in Lilongwe, Malawi, Africa, has acquired an Air Service License (ASL) to engage in domestic and international non-scheduled commercial air transport and aerial work services.
LawiAir Limited is seeking the services of the following professionals to help run and manage its operations, and now invites applications and professional resume/ curriculum vitae (CVs) from suitably qualified persons for the following positions:
Pilots (5 posts) and Flight Engineers (5 posts)
Requirements:
Professional qualifications:
- For the pilot’s posts, an ATP-Helicopter license, or CPL-Helicopter license with MI-8TV1 helicopter ratings;
- Candidate pilots with ATP-Helicopter or CPL-Helicopter licences with other helicopters type ratings than MI-8MTV1 may also apply;
- For the flight engineer’s posts, candidates must be in possession of a Flight Engineers License with MI-8MTV1 ratings or at least the appropriate Class Ratings;
- Training and certification in Language Proficiency – at least Level 4 is required
- Training and certification on helicopters special aerial work services (SAR, firefighting, casualty evacuation, reconnaissance, NVG, etc.) is required;
- In possession of ICAO Class 1 Medical Certificate; or Class 2 Medical Certificate for the flight engineer’s posts.
Proven Work Experience:
- 3 years’ experience as PIC in commercial or military air transport operations involving MI-8MTV1 helicopters is required;
- A minimum of 1,500 hours of flight time as PIC of multiengine helicopters is required;
- For the flight engineer posts, 2 years’ experience as flight engineer and a minimum of 1,000 hours in commercial or military air transport operations involving MI-8MTV1 helicopters is required;
- 2 years’ experience in helicopters special aerial work services (SAR, firefighting, casualty evacuation, reconnaissance, NVG, etc.) is advantage.
