JOB TITLE: SALES AND MARKETING OFFICER
REPORTS TO: General Manager
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Support the Sales and Marketing Department in achieving monthly and annual sales targets, working closely with management and clients to determine business requirements.
- Ensure focused and productive communication with new and existing clients to maintain strong business relationships.
- Perform essential administrative functions that support the daily operations of the department in accordance with company policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain healthy relationships with existing customers while actively identifying and pursuing potential clients.
- Promote the hotel’s facilities and services to both existing and potential customers through a proactive sales approach.
- Liaise with customers to monitor the progress of existing bookings and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement monthly promotional activities to enhance awareness of the hotel’s products and services.
- Coordinate with the Central Reservations Team to track booking status and revenue performance, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales analysis reports.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, sales reports, and presentations for management and clients.
- Collect, analyze, and evaluate market and competitor information to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Assist in implementing the marketing strategy, focusing on specific objectives and targets as agreed with management.
- Organize and manage marketing campaigns and promotional events from conception through to completion.
- Arrange meetings with potential clients to prospect for new business opportunities, negotiate contract terms, and close sales deals.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum qualification of an Advanced Diploma in Sales and Marketing; a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques will be an added advantage.
