TEMPORARY SALES CLERKS – FARM INPUT SUBSIDY PROGRAMME (FISP) 2025/2026 SEASON

The Smallholder Farmers’ Fertilizer Revolving Fund of Malawi (SFFRFM) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates of Malawi origin to fill the position of Temporary Sales Clerk for the FISP-2025/2026 season tenable across the country.

Division: Commercial Services
Reporting to: Regional Business Manager
Responsible for : N/A

Purpose of the Job:

To conduct sales of fertilizer and non-fertilizer items

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting sales of fertilizer and non-fertilizer products ensuring that cash sales with correct information are issued to customers.
  • Receiving and storing fertilizers and non-fertilizer efficiently and professionally
  • Take charge of all satellite depot operations.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date stock records.
  • Compiling and indexing in a clear manner all documentation on a day-to-day basis
  • Preparing daily sales summary report.
  • Assist customers to buy the right type of fertilizer and non-fertilizer products and advising them on application methods
  • Practicing good customer care,
  • Making administrative decisions for security guards and Porter under his/her control including duty roster in liaison with the Regional Business Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • MSCE with at least a pass in Mathematics and English.
  • Professional Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture or any related field from a reputable institution.
  • Experience in a similar position and computer literacy will be an added advantage.
  • At least three (3) years” work experience in a busy organization.
  • Be honest and have sober habits
  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Competent in counting and handling cash
  • A self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision
  • Should not have any criminal record
