Location: Head Office, Blantyre and Lilongwe Service Centre
Position overview
Booking premiums, providing quotations, renewal reviews, processing policies endorsements, within turnaround times
Reports to: Underwriting Supervisor
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To collect appropriate and accurate customer background information required to determine the acceptance of the risk and to ensure compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering issues and other relevant Laws of Malawi.
- To evaluate, review and process policy servicing requests.
- Process new business requests, policy amendments and correspondence on any matter relative to the day-to-day servicing of our clients, agents or brokers using modern technology.
- To ensure accurate and timely production such as policies endorsements and renewals.
- Maintaining organized files, both physical and electronic, anc ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Proving excellent customer service, by servicing customers at front office, responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues and providing policy information.
- Interacting with clients, brokers, agents and other relevant stakeholders
- Accurately entering policyholders into the system and updating records.
Qualifications and Experience
- Malawi School Certificate of Examination (MSCE)
- Certificate in Insurance -CII
- At least 1 year’s work experience in insurance underwriting
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
