VACANCY
The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians for the following vacancies existing at Neno District Council.
Director of Human Resource Management and Administration
GRADE: E/M2
DUTIES
- Coordinate and control the provision of support services and ensure the availability of resources and facilities (Stationery, equipment, furniture, vehicles) to all Directorates of the Council.
- Ensure that motor vehicle fleet management systems are developed and adhered to.
- Ensure adherence to laid down government regulations and procedures before engaging into contracts and procurement processes
- Initiate, formulate and coordinate training programs for Council staff.
- Provide a forum for welfare, conflicts resolutions and public relations services;
- Conduct critical appraisals of existing human resources policies and practices in the Council;
- Provide and maintain sound management information systems to support financial and human resource management systems in the Council.
- Coordinate the development and advancement of the Council’s manpower. ix. Arrange for Chiefs installations and welfare
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be serving Chief Human Resource Management Officers or Chief Administrative Officers (Grade F/3) with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Local Authorities.
COMPETENCIES
This is a senior post in the Council and provides a link between top management and staff and heads of support services. It is therefore essential that the post holder be prepared to meet demanding deadlines, deal with difficult people, and handle complex and difficult negotiation on major issues of policy of the Council on Human and General Management.
