Accounts Payable Associate

Reporting to: Finance Manager 

Role: Fixed Term

POSITION PURPOSE

This position is responsible for efficiently executing Accounts Payable (AP) processes, managing tax returns (VAT, withholding, and fringe benefit tax), reconciling vendor balances, and ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures.

WHAT WILL YOU DO: RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and submit VAT, withholding tax, and fringe benefit tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform regular vendor balance reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor and review open items in Accounts Payable to maintain up-to-date records.
• Prepare Telegraphic Transfer applications for foreign invoices.
• Ensure timely clearance of Accounts Payable downpayments.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR: REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CMA will have an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in Finance, preferably in manufacturing or agriculture.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and SAP/ERP experience.
• Analysis and problem-solving skills
