VACANCY

Farming and Engineering Services Limited (FES), a leading supplier and operator of premium brand products including Massey Ferguson and Challenger tractors, Komatsu machinery, Trimble GPS equipment, and Baldan farm implements, is seeking to recruit two (2) dynamic and experienced Truck Drivers to be based at its Blantyre Office.

Minimum Requirements

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent
  • Valid CE driver’s licence
  • Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
  • Clean criminal record
  • Defensive Driving Certificate
  • Valid medical fitness certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience operating heavy trucks on various types of roads, loads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company trucks to transport goods, materials, and equipment to designated locations within set timeframes.
  • Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed as scheduled.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Keep the vehicle clean, roadworthy, and in sound working condition.
  • Adhere to all road traffic regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Ensure goods are properly loaded, secured, and protected during transit to prevent damage or loss.
  • Accurately complete delivery notes, trip sheets, fuel logs, and other transport documentation.
  • Record mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities as required.
  • Plan routes efficiently to optimize fuel usage, time, and cost.
  • Safeguard the truck, cargo, and company property at all times.
  • Follow company procedures in the event of accidents, theft, or breakdowns.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers, logistics personnel, and supervisors regarding trip planning and operational updates.
  • Report any incidents, delays, or irregularities immediately.
