Position: Security Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily security operations to ensure the safety and protection of people, property, and assets for the company. This role involves supervising security personnel, enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring activities, and responding to incidents promptly and effectively. The Security Supervisor serves as a key liaison between management, staff, and external stakeholders to maintain a safe and secure environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate activities of security officers and staff
• Ensure compliance with company security policies, procedures, and protocols
• Monitor surveillance systems, patrol premises, and respond to security breaches or emergencies
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify risks, hazards, or policy violations
• Provide training, guidance, and support to junior security team members
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, reports, and security-related activities
• Assist the Security Manager in investigations of accidents, thefts, or suspicious activities
• Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and external agencies, when necessary, in consultation with the Security Manager
• Prepare reports and recommend improvements to enhance overall security operations to the Security Manager
• Foster a professional and customer-focused security presence on-site
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Security Manager

Qualifications & Skills:

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent; additional security training or certification preferred
• Proven experience in a corporate security environment or law enforcement, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Knowledge of security protocols, access control, surveillance systems, and emergency response procedures
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Proficient in report writing and use of basic security technologies
• Physically fit and able to perform duties such as patrolling and responding to incidents
• A valid motorcycle license or its equivalent
