HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

This is a senior and highly demanding position that requires a mature, results-driven individual with extensive leadership experience, exceptional integrity, and a passion for strategic human resource and administrative management.

ROLE PURPOSE

Reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration, the Human Resources and Administration Manager will be responsible for driving the implementation of NITEL’s Human Resources Strategy, while overseeing administrative functions to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company policies and national labour laws

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

  • Develop, interpret, and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Lead talent acquisition and management initiatives
  • Oversee staff learning and development programs
  • Manage performance management systems
  • Design and implement reward and remuneration structures
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary processes
  • Promote staff welfare and wellness programs
  • Ensure compliance with labour and industrial relations legislation

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES

  • Oversee procurement of goods and services
  • Manage company assets, inventory, and fleet
  • Ensure effective contract and supplier relationship management
  • Supervise facilities and office maintenance
  • Coordinate staff travel and logistical arrangements
  • Manage asset and personnel insurance

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
  • A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or MA in Human Resources
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years at a senior management level
  • Proven experience in HR and administrative management within dynamic sectors such as engineering, infrastructure, or software development

  • Understanding of global HR best practices and trends
  • Familiarity with training methodologies and HR program development
  • Financial management awareness
  • Experience in project and change management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and build effective teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High level of integrity, initiative, and creativity
