About Us
The National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA) is a government-owned enterprise, established under the Companies Act of 1984. Since commencing operations in 2012, NOCMA has played a pivotal role in ensuring fuel security across Malawi.
We manage strategic fuel reserves totaling 60 million litres, stored at key facilities in Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu, and depots in Chilumba, Chipoka, and Mchinji. Our market share in national fuel importation has grown from 10% in 2015 to an average of 65% in FY 2024/25, driven by strategic investments and operational excellence.
As part of our continued growth, we are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals to join our team in the following position:
Temporary Office Assistant (NOC10) – 3 posts
Code: TOA2025
Location: Blantyre Depot; Lilongwe Depot; Mzuzu Depot
Duration: 12 Months
Purpose:
To keep the ambience of the office organized and clean, provide messengerial services, and provide support with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate office equipment such as photocopiers, shredders, and printers.
- Monitor the level of and arrange for timely replenishment of office supplies.
- Manage office records and files.
- Set up rooms and equipment for office meetings.
- Timely collection and delivery of mail, parcels, messages, and documents
- Perform receptionist duties when called upon to do so.
- Binding and maintaining official documents.
- Cleaning of offices, furniture, sanitary facilities, and washing/cleaning utensils.
- Convey files, documents, and other items from office to office.
- Prepare office refreshments.
Reporting Line: The position reports to the Depot Supervisor and has no responsibility for subordinates.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE). Possession of a Diploma certificate in a related field will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of one (1) years’ experience at the same level or in a similar role.
