Vacancy: Assistant Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Technician Officer
Demeter Farm is looking for an ambitious and motivated candidate to join their team as an Assistant ICT Technician Officer based in Lilongwe.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field from a well-recognised and reputable academic institution
- At least 2-3 years proven experience in ICT technical support or systems administration.
- A valid professional certification in database systems is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of database and server administration, computer systems, networking, and security.
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to staff (hardware, software, network).
- Install, configure, and maintain ICT systems and infrastructure.
- Monitor and secure networks, systems, and data.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and recommend system improvements.
- Manage user accounts, backups, and disaster recovery systems.
- Provide ICT training, manuals, and user support materials.
