Assistant Environmental, Social, Health and Safety Officer (Location – Blantyre)
Responsible for evaluating, planning and implementing environmental and safety issues
Duties
- Ensuring that all Environmental, Social, health and safety procedures are being documented followed and filed efficiently.
- Assisting staff members to adhere to safety procedures.
- Assisting in incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors by ensuring that all ESHS information is known to all parties.
Capabilities and Requirements;
- Proven ability in analyzing environmental, health and safety matters and give corresponding reports against the same.
- Carry out impact assessment for environmental, health and safety awareness with regard to construction industry.
- Good project management skills
- Should have a knowledge of project proposals Diploma In environmental science or its equivalent from a well-recognized institution.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be a self-starter
- Person with at least five (5) years’ experience in a similar role will have an added advantage.
