Revenue Assurance Analyst

REVENUE ASSURANCE ANALYST (GRADE C3)

The Revenue Assurance Analyst shall be responsible for putting in place measures and controls for detecting, pre-venting, monitoring, and reporting revenue leakages and fraud management.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develops, executes, and monitors daily measures and audits to detect revenue leakages and deviations of KPI thresholds for all subscribers.
• Performs end-to-end reconciliations (Mobile Money-to-bill and all third-party systems-to-bill) for all revenue streams and recommends measures to plug revenue leakage
• Reviews daily revenue trends/dashboards, interprets them, and reports on revenue anomalies
• Analyzes revenue streams to identify potential risks or discrepancies and develop controls to minimize revenue leakage.
• Implement robust controls to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud risks across GSM and Mobile Money platforms.
• Performs rate assurance to ensure only approved rates are configured in billing systems and that rating engines are applying correct rates and that rating results are accurate.
• Execute provisioning assurance, pre- and post-product assurance, sensitivity analysis, and promotions review.
• Research on new revenue threats and provide measures to combat such threats.
• Quantifies revenue leakages.
• Conducts direct expenditure assurance and profitability analysis.
• Prepares and submits detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports on revenue performance and leakages and provides insights for decision-making
• Provides recommendations for process improvements to enhance revenue generation.
• Works with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and IT, to streamline processes and improve billing accuracy

Education, Professional and Other Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or their equivalents. Holders of Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) will have an added advantage.
• Very good communication skills, scripting, and data mining.
• Proven experience as a Revenue Assurance Analyst or similar role, preferably in the telecom or fintech industry.
• High level of integrity, with proven proficiency in data analytics and financial modelling with advanced skills in SQL, Linux, and Microsoft Excel.
