
Castel Malawi Limited
The Export Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that will grow the export business volumes, value, and market share with focus on spirits.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the Export Manager, will be required to carry out the following duties, among others:
- Develop and implement strategies that will help to identify viable export markets for Castel Malawi Limited spirits.
- Assess and conduct market analysis for the identified export markets in the regional trade zones in terms of size, profile, players, etc.
- Evaluate and appoint import distributors in the export markets
- Develop and build capabilities for the import distributors based on Castel Malawi Limited standards.
- Define Joint Business Plans (JBP) with the foreign customers on revenue growth, target volumes setting, and viable merchandizing that improves in-store product visibility.
- Define strategies that will drive numeric distribution at the point of sale.
- Liaise with the Ministry of Trade, Customs office, shipping companies and MITC on export trade regulations to ensure compliance to regional trade instruments.
The ideal candidates should have, at least the following qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Business Administration, or Marketing, or Economics, or Commerce, or related fields, plus 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably, in an FMCG Industry.
Key Competencies
- Good communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to negotiate export sales deals.
- Ability to manage and sustain stakeholders’ relationships
- Good understanding of cross-border business operations.
- Ability to develop effective export strategies.
