The Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill vacant positions existing in the corporation as follows:
SECRETARIES- 4 POSITIONS
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides high-level secretarial and administrative support to the Director and departmental teams.
- Prepares and types accurate, professional correspondence, reports, and internal memos.
- Coordinates and takes minutes for departmental meetings, workshops, and official functions.
- Manages the Director’s calendar, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate departmental communication.
- Organises and maintains an effective filing and records management system (physical and electronic).
- Receives and assists visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Prepares meeting venues and coordinating logistics, including refreshments and documentation.
- Operates office equipment such as Computers, Photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines.
- Supports the smooth flow of daily office operations and any other duties as assigned,
Qualifications, Experience Attributes:
- A Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
- A Diploma in Secretarial Studies or Diploma in Business Administration
- Shorthand speed of at least 120 words per minute (WPM).
- A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent Computer Skills
