Applications are invited from suitably qualified people for the following positions tenable at Chesney Trust, Mzuzu and Edinburgh Girls high school.
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION AND SCHOOL
The Chesney Trust for Education is a non-profit organisation with focus on girl child education and empowerment of young women. Through the Board of Trustees and the office of the secretariat, Chesney Trust owns and runs Edinburgh Girls High school as a major project.
Edinburgh Girls High school is an institution located 2km from Eng’congolweni in Mzimba. The school fosters academic excellence, moral integrity, and leadership development for young women. With a rich history of producing well-rounded graduates, the school emphasizes holistic education, nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and community engagement.
We are looking for dynamic individuals to fill the following vacant posts:
Headteacher:
As the strategic leader, you will shape the school’s vision, drive academic excellence, and inspire a culture of collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing long-term strategic plans.
- Overseeing curriculum innovation and academic standards.
- Leading staff mentorship, and performance management.
- Ensuring student welfare and engagement with parents/community.
- Managing budgets and compliance with educational regulations.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in senior educational leadership.
- Proven success in curriculum development and staff management.
- Strong knowledge of national/international education standards.
- Must be a Languages teacher
