SUSTAINABLE TOBACCO PRODUCTION MONITOR
Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company Limited, one of the leading tobacco processors in Malawi has the above-mentioned vacant positions in its Agronomy Department. Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified Malawians to fill these vacant positions which are tenable in our field operational areas.
Job Objectives
Working under the Area Coordinator, the incumbent will assist in:
- Providing technical support on tobacco production, forestry and other crops.
- Organizing trainings for Field Technicians and equipping them with field skills.
- Validating MobiLeaf data captured by Field Technicians.
- Managing STP Projects: CPA Wastes, Identification of projects beneficiaries, forestry implementation programs.
- Other duties assigned by the Area Coordinator and Head Office.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized institution; those with Bachelor’s Degree will have an added advantage
- Must have a valid motorcycle license
- At least 3 years’ experience in tobacco production
- Good planning, communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate with good data interpretation skills.
- Honesty, integrity and sober habits
- Capacity to work with minimum supervision.
- Willing to work in rural areas
- Age between 25 to 40 years
