DATA ANALYST (1)
Job purpose
The Data Analyst will report to the Finance Director, with a functional line to the Project Manager based in Brazil, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. The incumbent will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams, including business, product, finance, and technology teams to develop data models, create dashboards, and deliver actionable insights that boost operational efficiency and fuel business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to support daily business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, correlations, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPls), metrics, and report frameworks across business units.
Data Management & Quality Assurance
- Collect, clean, and validate data to ensure integrity,
accuracy, and consistency. - Monitor data quality and implement best practices to ensure the ongoing reliability of data assets.
- Partner with data engineering teams to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Business Partnership & Decision Support
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements and data products.
- Provide insights and analytical support for strategic planning, forecasting, customer behavior analysis, and financial performance.
- Participate in the development of analytical models, hypotheses testing, and A/B experiments where applicable.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, definitions, processes, and methodologies.
- Ensure all analytical work adheres to organizational policies, data privacy regulations, and governance frameworks.
- Develop and maintain web applications, focusing on a high-level user experience.
- Collaborate with multifunctional teams to understand and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in the architecture and design processes, contributing to shaping our solutions.
- Conduct testing and debugging processes to ensure robustness and security code.
- Adopt established development standards and conventions defined by the team, ensuring consistency and compatibility across projects.
- Assist the development team in implementing new projects and updates.
- Stay updated on web development trends and best practices to incorporate them into our projects.
- Provide support to users of our applications.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantitative Fields such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related discipline.
- Postgraduate Degree in Data Management, Data Science, Business Analytics or any related fields, desired but not required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Hands-on experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages is an asset.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
