Position: Resource Mobilization and Communications Officer (RMCO)

About CSP
The Church and Society Programme (CSP) is the advocacy arm of the CCAP Synod of Livingstonia, advancing human rights, justice, peace, and democracy in Malawi. CSP also provides paralegal services, including mediation and legal advisory support to vulnerable communities.
With funding from Tilitonse Foundation, CSP is implementing a project to enhance access to justice for women, girls, and marginalized groups by strengthening institutional policies, staff capacity, and strategic plan execution. This project includes support for a Resource Mobilization and Communications Officer (RMCO) to expand CSP’s impact.
Position Summary
The RMCO will lead efforts to secure funding, diversify revenue streams, and enhance CSP’s visibility through strategic communications. The role involves grant writing, donor engagement, business development, and brand management to align with CSP’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Mobilization
- Research and identify funding opportunities (grants, partnerships, etc.).
- Develop compelling proposals, reports, and donor agreements.
- Maintain a database of funders and track funding trends.
Business Development
- Explore income-generating opportunities to sustain CSP’s work.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, NGOs, and stakeholders.
Communications & Advocacy
- Design and implement communication strategies (digital/media/print).
- Manage CSP’s website, social media, and public engagements.
- Produce content to amplify CSP’s mission and project impacts.
Compliance & Strategy
- Ensure adherence to donor requirements and ethical standards.
- Align activities with CSP’s Strategic Plan.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Education: Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or related field.
- Experience: 3-4 years in grant writing, fundraising, or business development.
Skills:
- Exceptional writing, research, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools (websites, social media).
- Community engagement experience (local languages preferred).
- Values: Integrity, professionalism, and commitment to social justice.
