JOB VACANCY
The High Commission of India in Lilongwe (Malawi) is looking for suitable candidates for the post of Chauffeur. The minimum criteria for selection for the post of Chauffeur are as follows:-
- Applicant must be either Malawian citizen or resident with valid Permanent Resident Permit and holder of valid work permit.
- Should not be more than 40 years of age.
- Possession of valid driving license is must. Minimum 3 years of driving experience in Malawi is desirable.
- Should be familiar with prominent places and roads in Malawi. Should have geographical knowledge of Malawi.
- Candidate should have good knowledge of driving and upkeep of vehicles along with basic knowledge of automobile engineering systems.
- Correct Eye Vision Certificate from authorized ophthalmologist and medical fitness certificate are essential.
- Applicant must have good reading, writing and working knowledge of English and local language in communication as well as written. Candidate should have good inter-personal communication skills, adapt to improvements in work environment.
- Minimum qualification is 10th Grade.
- The job profile includes driving official vehicle during the weekdays and also during weekends on need basis.
- Candidate should have clean personal behavioral records and if selected, Police Clearance Certificate with NO cases of local law violating records till the date of joining the High Commission to be submitted.
- The selection will be done on the basis of written test cum road skill test followed by personal interview.
- Interested candidates should submit their applications in closed envelope along with their Curriculum Vitae {CV), Certified copies of reference from previous employers, passport size photograph and other relevant documents to the Head of Chancery, High Commission of India, Plot No 52, Area 9, Lilongwe. The envelope should be marked as “Application for the Post of Chauffeur”.
