SHIFT OPERATIONS SUPERVISORS
Personnel specification
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Duties
- Supervising operations during the assigned shift
- Ensuring efficient and safe power plant operations
- Overseeing employees and ensuring that work is completed according to plant standards and schedules
- Reporting operational issues and deviations to the Power Plant Manager
- Maintaining communication with all Departments to ensure the plant runs smoothly.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge in power generation equipment
- Ability to work in a team
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical & Instrumentations field in the areas of power plant, sugar plant and renewable energy. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree will have an added advantage.
BOILER & TURBINE OPERATORS
Personnel specification
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Duties
- Operating and monitoring Boiler and Turbine systems using Distributed Control System (DCS)
- Ensuring the systems run at optimal efficiency and perform necessary adjustments.
- Trouble shooting and resolving operational issues with boilers and turbines.
- Maintaining detailed logs of system parameters and operational performance
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical & Instrumentations field in the areas of power plant, sugar plant and renewable energy. Those candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree will have an added advantage
BOILER OPERATORS
Personnel specification
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 6 years experience.
Duties
- Operating and maintaining the Boiler system and ensuring its efficient performance.
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance tasks on boilers
- Monitoring and controlling the pressure, temperature, and water levels of the boilers
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
QUALFICATIONS
Minimum of a diploma in Mechanical/Electrical & Instrumentations field in the areas of power plant, sugar plant and renewable energy.
Those candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree will have an added advantage.
FIELD OPERATORS FOR BOILER & TURBINE
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
Duties
- To conduct hands on operation and maintenance of the boiler and turbine equipment.
- To assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues.
- To Perform regular checks on machinery and systems to ensure proper operation
- To report ant issues or anomalies to the shift supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of an MSCE & Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical & Instrumentations field in the areas of power plant, sugar plant and renewable energy. Those candidates with a Diploma will have an added advantage.
MAINTENANCE SUPERVISORS
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Duties
- To supervise the mechanical maintenance team.
- To ensure that work is completed efficiently and safely.
- To ensure the adherence to maintenance schedules and quality standards.
- To report maintenance issues to the maintenance Engineer and other relevant Departments
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of an MSCE Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical and areas of power plant, sugar plant and renewable energy. Those candidates with a Degree will have an added advantage.
MILL WRIGHT FITTERS
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 7 years experience.
Duties
- To install, maintain and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, turbines, and boilers
- To perform alignment, levelling, and fitting of machinery and structural components.
- To ensure all machinery is operating within specification and safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of an MSCE Certificate or Dioloma in Mechanical and areas of power plant, sugar plant and renewable energy. Candidates with a Degree will have an added advantage.
FOREMAN
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience.
Duties
- To supervise the work of millwright fitters and other mechanical maintenance staff
- To ensure proper procedures are followed during installations and repairs.
- To provide hands on support during equipment repairs and maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of an MSCE Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical and areas of power plant, sugar plant and renewable energy. Candidates with a Degree will have an added advantage.
TIG WELDER
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience.
Duties
- To perform welding tasks on high-pressure and high-temperature systems, including boilers and piping.
- To ensure that welds meet engineering specifications and safety standards.
- To inspect welded components for defects and make necessary repairs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of an MSCE Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical and areas of power plant, sugar plant and renewable energy. Candidates with a Degree will have an added advantage.
ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Duties
- To maintain and optimize the electrical systems within the plant including: Generators, Transformers, Control systems and transmission lines
- To ensuring the efficient and safe generation and distribution of electricity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of an MSCE, Tevet Certificates or Diploma in Electrical and areas of power plant, sugar plant and renewable energy. Candidates with a Degree will have an added advantage.
ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge in power generation equipment
- Responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, and trouble shooting of all electrical equipment within the power generation facility.
GENERAL FITTERS
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience.
Duties
- Maintaining and repairing mechanical systems.
- Ensuring that the plant machinery operates efficiently
Performing routine inspections of mechanical equipment ano replace worn out parts. - Assisting in the installation and alignment of mechanical components
QUALIFICATIONS

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Duties
- Assisting in the maintenance and repairing of mechanical systems
- Troubleshooting and diagnose mechanical issues.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and assist with machine overhauls.
- Documenting and maintenance activities and results.

CONTROL & INSTRUMENTATION SUPERVISOR

Duties
- To supervise and control instrumentation technicians.
- To ensure control systems are operating as per plant requirements
- To perform diagnostics and ensure calibration of instruments is accurate.

CONTROL & INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN

Duties
- To assist in the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems and instrumentation.
- To ensure all instruments and sensors are functioning properly and within specifications.
- To perform routine inspections and provide technical support to operators.

CHEMIST – WATER TREATMENT PLANT
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Duties
- To analyze water samples and ensure the treatment process is effective.
- To monitor the chemical treatment process and adjust as necessary.
- To ensure that all treated water meets these quired quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a Degree in the areas of water treatment field, power plant, sugar plant, and renewable energy.
WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATORS
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Duties
- To operate and maintain water treatment equipment.
- To monitor water treatment processes and report issues to WTP HOD.
- To perform routine checks and maintenance of the treatment systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a Degree in the areas of water treatment field, power plant, sugar plant, and renewable energy.
FUEL HANDLING OPERATORS
- 30 to 40 years old.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience
Duties
- To operate and maintain the fuel handling and ash handling equipment.
- To ensure the smooth flow of fuel to the boiler and manage ash disposal.
- To conduct regular inspections and maintenance on the systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of an MSCE, Tevet Certificates or Diploma in Mechanical and areas of power plant, sugar plant and renewable energy. Those candidates with a Degree will have an added advantage.
