The Non-Governmental Organizations Regulatory Authority (NGORA) is a statutory Corporation mandated to register and regulate operations of Non-Governmental organizations in Malawi. To deliver on its core mandate, the institution is now looking for dynamic and well versed individuals to fill the following senior management post:

Job Purpose
Responsible for ensuring proper regulatory services of the NGO sector by the NGO Act while promoting the alignment of NGO work to national development strategies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing strategies to ensure equitable spatial distribution of NGOs in the country;
- Facilitating the establishment and strengthening of Civil Society Networks at the district level;
- Promoting citizen participation in NGO work and enabling communities to hold duty bearers including
NGOs accountable - Promoting the appropriate handover of NGO programs and assets
- Developing and promoting frameworks aimed at promoting alignment of NGO work to national development goals
- Developing a framework for agreements between Ministries, local councils, and NGOs to govern development work at the grassroots
- Building the capacity of local councils including local structures to manage NGOs at a local level
- Coordinating the management of NGO Management Information Systems and databases at all levels
- Coordinating the enforcement and dissemination of the NGO Act, regulations, and guidelines
- Promoting enforcement of regulations on partnerships between LNGOs and INGOs
- Coordinating efficient management of Service Centers, data, and relevant surveys
- Developing and determining the investigation strategies and objectives
- Monitoring compliance levels of NGOs by the NGO Act 2001
- Monitoring and reviewing annual returns and audited financial statements submitted by NGOs every year
- Creating and maintaining relationships with all relevant stakeholders
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Must be a holder of a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration obtained from a reputable learning institutions) of higher learning recognized by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
- Five (5) years working experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated leadership and organization skills
- High degree of integrity and good conduct
- Excellent oral and technical writing skills
- Ability to interface effectively and professionally at all levels
- Ability to develop solutions for simple and complex problems
