JOB OPPORTUNITY: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

Readers Investments Limited, on behalf of its subsidiary, a reputable and well established insurance broking company operating in Malawi for over 25 years, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the company into its next phase of growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure the company’s continued growth and market leadership.
  • Drive business development initiatives to expand the company’s market share and client base.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by leading, motivating, and developing the management team.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial performance, risk management, and corporate governance.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Chartered Insurance Broker, Chartered Insurer, or ACII and a bachelor’s degree in insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance or financial services sector, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance, preferably in the insurance brokerage business, regulatory landscape, and market trends.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and operational excellence.
  • Experience and knowledge in digital transformation and technology-driven business models.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
