Kamuzu Academy is a selective, co-educational boarding school for students aged 11 to 18 years. The school consistently matches or exceeds local and international averages at IGCSE and GCE A levels. Kamuzu Academy is one of the few schools in the world that continue to offer classical languages such as Greek and Latin besides English, French and Chinese. The Academy occupies a large, purpose-built campus, with outstanding academic, recreational and sporting facilities in a stunning environment about 2 hours north of Malawi’s capital city Lilongwe.

Job Summary:
We seek an experienced candidate for the post of Deputy Head (Academic) to join us from September 2025. The successful candidate will oversee the academic curriculum, manage department and faculty heads, oversee the monitoring and tracking of student attainment, and ensure staffing levels are suitable and sufficient for delivering an extensive range of subjects across the Academy.

They will be a compelling communicator with a strong strategic vision for the Academy’s academic offerings. They will possess the gravitas and collegiality to work well with a committed staff team and external stakeholders.
