The Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is inviting applications from suitably : qualified and experienced candidates to fill vacant positions existing in its Programmes Directorate as follows:
PRODUCERS/PRESENTERS RADIO ONE – 3 POSITIONS
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Presents and produces programmes
- Conducts interviews
- Plays music and commercials
- Answers phone calls
- Determines news and information appropriate for broadcast
- Operates central equipment rack
- Prepares newscasts and delivers them on-air
- Writes and edits news copy
- Adjusts transmitter power
- Prepares and reviews public service announcements, underwriting announcements, pre-recorded reports and audio elements, newspapers, and program rundowns
- Records commercials
Qualifications Experience, Attributes
- Diploma in Journalism/Media Studies/Mass Communication from a reputable institution. A degree in relevant field will be an added advantage
- At least four years’ experience in radio production
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of old and vintage music
- Good research and interviewing skills
- Must have strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to keep up with industry trends in the media landscape
