The Copyright Society of Malawi is an organization that was established under section 5 of the Copyright Act of 2016. Its core function is to promote and to protect creativity. The organization is looking for applicants to fill vacant position in the Documentation Department as follows:
Position: Assistant Documentation Officer
Department: Documentation
Job Purpose
To provide support in processing membership applications, managing documentation, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in processing membership applications, renewals, and updates.
- Supporting the maintenance of physical and digital records of members and their works.
- Helping with routine administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
- Responding to general membership and documentation inquiries
- Escalating complex issues to senior team members.
- Ensuring data accuracy and compliance with copyright regulations.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Diploma in Information Management Systems, Library Information Systems, Business Administration.
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience in a busy environment.
Skills and abilities:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in records management.
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to serve customers with courtesy.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good understanding of office procedures
- Attention to detail
- Integrity, honesty and confidentiality
