When the Saints is looking for qualified trauma counselors!

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Chichewa.
  • Must have passion for the welfare of children.
  • Must be around 35-45 years of age.
  • Have diploma in counseling or psychology from a recognized institution.
  • Those with a Degree will have an added advantage.
  • Ability to relate and communicate well with children and also do family counseling.
  • Must be a born again Christian.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling and guidance to the sexually exploited girls.
  • Assess children’s needs, strength, weaknesses and situations to determine their goals.
  • Must ensure high levels of emotional, physical care and appropriate activities of children planned and provided as they journey to healing.
  • Work with families and communities on creating and strengthening a support system for the child through sensitization and advocacy.
  • Make follow-ups to the discharged children to ensure that their situation has improved.
  • Monitor girl’s progress and adjust their treatment plan.
