VACANCY: DRIVER

The Malawi Universities Development Programme (MUDEP) Secretariat is supporting the establishment of new public universities and higher education institutions in an effort to increase access for higher education and ensure that the education offered is of quality and relevance to the needs of the country. Currently, the Secretariat is facilitating the establishment of Inkosi ya Makhosi M’mbelwa University.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified and experienced person to join MUDEP Secretariat to fill the position of a Driver.

The Job:

• Drive staff, and other authorized passengers as and when assigned.
• Ferrying authorized goods when assigned.
• Maintaining log book,
• Checking that vehicles are road worthy at all times before any trip.
• Initiating vehicle maintenance process when due.
• Checking that vehicles have Certificate Of Fitness and valid insurance at all times.

The Person: A well- disciplined and reliable person and trustworthy.

Qualifications: Be holder of a Malawi School Certificate of Education, Driving licence (Code C1 or D1 or BE) plus with not less than 2 years’ experience. Possession of Defensive Driving Certificate would be an added advantage.
