OPERATIONS MANAGER – ADMINISTRATION (1 POST)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified committed Christians to fill the following position existing at Marymount Catholic Secondary School.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Marymount Girls Catholic Secondary School is a renowned institution that fosters academic excellence, moral integrity, and leadership development for young girls. With a rich history of producing well-rounded graduates, the school emphasizes faith-based education while nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and community engagement.

The Operations Manager- Administration will be answerable to the Board of Governors through the School Manager and is responsible for the following:

  • Maintenance of the material resources for the school Management of the human resource for the school Mobilisation of human resources for the school
  • Teaching light load in subjects of his/her specialization
  • Assisting in organising continuous profession workshops for members of staff
  • Conducting staff appraisals for heads of departments and sections heads Assisting in maintenance and renovation of school infrastructure
  • Writing project proposals for the school
  • Assisting in disciplining students

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  1. Academic Qualifications:
    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
    • A Master’s Degree in Education or related field will be an added advantage.
    • Those with experience in human resource management will have an added advantage
  2. Professional Experience:
    At least 5 years of senior management experience in a reputable secondary school.
  3. Age Requirement:
    • Preferably aged between 35 and 50 years.

4. Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in computer applications for school management.
  • Strong knowledge of education standards and policies in Malawi.

5. Faith and Values:

  • Must be a practicing Christian.
  • Those conversant with Catholic Social teaching of the Church have an adde advantage.
