Applications are invited from suitable candidates to fill the vacant positions of Area Manager in Blantyre and Lilongwe.

Main Purpose of the Job

Under the supervision of the Head of Retail Affluent, the Area Manager will be responsible for driving the implementation of the sales strategy. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing operations of 5-8 branches, therefore, experience in field sales and sales management is a must.

Key Result Areas and work descriptions:

• Managing sales and support sales processes to ensure Area profitability and to meet business targets.
• Responsible for relationship management with key stakeholders.
• Developing local markets and resource plans for the area
• Managing performance, coaching and mentoring Business Managers
• Identifying potential new markets and open markets.
• Developing local markets and resource plans for the region
• Ensuring all business processes and practices are compliant with legal framework and regulations.
• Overseeing operations of the business at Area level
• Facilitate recruitment and management of sales agents.
• Managing sales academy

Requirements for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or any other related field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in sales leadership.
