HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS ASSOCIATE (HR DEPARTMENT)

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the purpose of the job is to provide arst line or HR support to designated business units, assisting with employee lifecycle management, policy interpretation, employee relations, and performance management, while collaborating closely with line managers to ensure efficient delivery of HR services in the Bank.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among other responsibilities:

  • Provides support in recruitment functions- Staff Requisitioning, Shortlisting, Organising interviews, documentation of offer letters.
  • Works with HR Business Partners to draw Staff Pre-boarding and Onboarding programs and shares the same with selected candidates.
  • Conducts reference checks for recruited candidates and ensures new joiner files are built with adequate and correct information.
  • Works with Line Managers and HR Business Partners to confirm employees upon expiry of probation period.
  • Tracks Staff performance and consolidates staff quarterly scores for decision making.
  • Keeps track of key people decisions requiring payroll changes and generates summaries for submission to Payroll and Benefits Office.
  • Works with HR Business Partners to document Complaint forms, disciplinary charges and coordinates disciplinary hearing sessions.
  • Documents Disciplinary hearing proceedings and communicates disciplinary hearing outcomes to affected employees.
  • Provides guidance and advises employees and line managers on best HR practice and HR policies and procedures
  • Conducts self-audits for Staff files to ensure completeness of records.
  • Provides support in documentation of staff transfer and promotion letters.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences or any relevant field from a recognized tertiary institution.

EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL COMPETENCES

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar or related (people management) role in the Bank.
  • Interpersonal, organisation and counselling skills
  • Documentation and analytical skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop HR skills and knowledge
  • Service oriented and willing to go the extra mile to deliver.
  • Excellent attention to detail. Excellent team player.
  • Must have integrity, positive and pro-active mindset.
