The National Economic Empowerment Fund Limited (NEEF) is a government owned Microfinance Institution whose mission is to economically empower ordinary and underserved Malawians particularly women, youth, and persons with disability through the provision of quality, affordable, and sustainable microfinance services for improved livelihoods.

ICT MANAGER – INFRASTRUCTURE

Job Title: ICT Manager (Infrastructure)
Grade: NF3
Department: ICT Services
Reports to : Director of ICT Services
Responsible for : Chief ICT Officer (Infrastructure)

Job Purpose

To oversee planning, implementation, and maintenance of NEEF’s ICT Infrastructure, including networks, servers, and hardware systems. This role ensures the liability, security, and efficiency, of NEEF’s technical environment enabling a smooth day to day operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Providing strategic leadership in the development and implementation of innovative infrastructure solutions that support organizational growth.
  2. Implementing, and maintaining NEEF’S ICT infrastructure including servers, networks, and storage systems.
  3. Formulating and executing a long-term strategic plan for ICT infrastructure that aligns with NEEF’s overall
  4. Establishing priorities for the maintenance, objectives and adapts to technological advance design, and development of infrastructure systems inclusive of LANS/WAN internets
  5. Monitoring server environments, including physical
  6. servers, virtual machines, and storage systems.
  7. Performing regular assessments of risks associated with ICT infrastructure and develop strategies to mitigate potential impacts on operations.
  8. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure alignment of infrastructure projects with business goals, and foster partnerships with technology vendors.
  9. Preparing and manage budgets for IT infrastructure projects and operations.
  10. Implementing security measures to protect ICT infrastructure from breaches, malware, and other threats.
  11. Developing and maintain back up and disaster recovery solutions for infrastructure resilience
  12. Developing and enforcing infrastructure policies aligned with NEEF’s goals while maintaining detailed documentation of assets and configurations.
  13. Compiling periodic reports

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Master’s Degree in ICT, Information Technology, Computer Science or any related field from an NCHE accredited institution;
  2. 5 years of working experience, with 3 years is at similar management level.
