Institute of People Management Malawi (IPMM) is a professional membership body representing Human Resource Practitioners in Malawi. IPMM is a non-profit making organization, registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act, to promote professionalism, standards, and ethics in Human Resources Management in Malawi.
IPMM invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant position of Marketing and Business Development Officer tenable in Blantyre, at IPMM secretariat.
MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Reporting to the Executive Director, the MBDO will be responsible for coordinating all marketing activities of the Institute which include IPMM visibility, membership growth, and managing all IPMM social media platforms.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy according to the Institute’s strategic plan Conduct market research to identify industry trends and commercial opportunities
- Drive IPMM membership growth
- Planning, organizing and hosting marketing and CSR events Marketing and advertising promotional activities Prepare detailed promotional presentations
- Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback

- Knowledge and Experience in Digital marketing
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or any relevant bachelor’s degree. Those with marketing experience will have an added advantage.
- Membership to IMM or a professional qualification in Marketing
- At least 3 years’ experience with a proven track record of success.
