Job Description
To support the business in the management and implementation of the safety, health environment, and quality assurance and other relevant Business Systems requirements meeting the highest quality international standards. To support the business in the management and roll out of all new product and product reformulations to ensure product quality
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Implementation and Maintenance of SHEQ and related business systems
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of Document, Audit and Issue and modules across the site
- Plan and implement systems and changes to ensure continued compliance to new and updated SHEQ, Coca-Cola, legal and other requirements
- Maintain SHEQ and other related business system to ensure ongoing compliance, business value and sustainability.
- Track, advise and drive compliance of the business on legal requirements
- Align SHEQ goals and objectives with business strategy.
- Apply knowledge of the supply chain business processes and products.
- Ensure alignment and integration between different SHEQ and other related business systems.
- Apply WCM principles and practices to continuously improve quality systems.
- Interpret the system purpose and requirements within the business context.
- Co-ordinate and prepare for all external audits.
- Lead internal system audits
- Conduct objective GMP audits and ensure system compliance
- Schedule all internal audits
- Conduct training for all internal auditors
- Conduct third party audits.
- Engage with internal customers to develop partnerships and capability.
- Engage with external customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrate behavior which builds, maintains or enhances company reputation.
Implementation and compliance to New Product Development and Commercialisation
- Lead implementation and management of all new products and new formulations for the site
- Interface between New Product Development and Commercialisation functions and the plant implementation teams
- Mitigate risk of Quality Incidents related to NPD and commercialisation through robust system design
- Management Mixing Instructions
- Train all relevant personnel in relation to NPD and commercialisation
Manage third party contracts
- Ensure value to the business through management of 3rd party contractors, i.e. Pest Control, Cleaning, Waste and Canteen Services
- Train contractors on Company SHEQ requirements
- Ensure contractor compliance to SHEQ and other related business systems
- Manage budgets for 3rd party contract
- Conduct regular audits (on and off site) of the contractors
Training
- Compilation of SHEQ technical training material as required
- Creating assessment material for technical training material created
- Conduct training and coaching for site
- Ensure all relevant training is conducted as per requirements for all SHEQ systems
Reporting
- Compile monthly SHEQ reports for site, COF and the BU
Qualifications
- Minimum – Degree in Food Technology or equivalent
- Advantageous – SHEQ system training, Lead auditor training
Experience
- Minimum 5 years work experience in a supervisory position within the bottling industry or food industry (Quality and Environmental experience is a prerequisite)
- 5 years relevant experience in the SHEQ Management Field
- Experience and implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000, NOSA, KORE and e-Mark.
- Computer Literacy
- ISO 9001 and FSSC/ISO 22000, ISO 14000 and NOSA or ISO 18000 auditing experience and system knowledge
- Understanding of applicable legal requirements related the Food Industry
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications
- Advantageous: Achiever plus or equivalent SHEQ management system
- Valid drivers license and the ability to drive a manual car.
