JOB TITLE: Business Development Officer (2x)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent

JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for Business growth through the implementation of business development strategies for prospecting for new clients and retaining the existing ones and to deliver excellent client service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospect for new business (Private Wealth Management and Corporate Business, through building an enhanced pipeline.
  • Manage client onboarding in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Client relationship management to retain the business and assist clients with Investor services queries
  • Liaise with the Business Development Manager on dealing strategies to offer competitive interest rates on the market.
  • information from investors at the point of contact to ensure that we have updated information for investor services.
  • Ensure quarterly statements are sent out to clients, and all queries are attended to.
  • Ensure deal notes are sent to clients on time for new investment & rollovers.
  • Cordinate with Group marketing for Brand maintenance and events
  • Tracking private wealth client’s investments commitments.
  • Weekly dealing of matured funds and negotiating with clients for new rates.
  • Preparation of Investment Management Agreements and Proposals

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 Years’ practical experience in a Business Development, Sales or Client Relationship role (preferably within the financial services or investment sector)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of investment products and financial markets, and key stakeholder such as Malawi Stock Exchange, RBM, and commercial banks.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and within a team
