SENIOR FITTER

Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above position tenable at our Head Office in Lilongwe.

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the successful candidate will, among other duties, be responsible for the following:

• Carrying out Breakdown, Preventive and Shutdown maintenances of the tobacco processing plant.
• Safe installation, testing and commission of various mechanical projects.
• Troubleshooting mechanical problems on the plant.
• Comply with Safe, Heath, Environment and quality working procedures and company policies.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience and Skills

• The Candidate must at least have a Level 3 Tevet Certificate, Grade 1 Trade Test in General Fitting, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years of work in a busy processing plant.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Those with experience in a tobacco threshing plant will have an added advantage.
