Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following posts attainable immediately:

Materials Engineer
Applicants should possess a Degree in Civil Engineering and should have not less than 8 years working experience, of which they should have worked for not less than 5 years on civil engineering materials and pavement design. Preference shall be given applicants who have Registered Engineer status under the Malawi Board of Engineers with knowledge in any of the civil engineering software packages such as Civil Design, Road Maker, AUTOCAD, Prokon, etc. Unregistered applicants should have willingness to register under the Malawi Board of Engineers. Persons who possess a Diploma or equivalent qualification in laboratory testing for civil engineering materials and have working experience in excess of 10 years may apply for this post.

Social Specialist
The applicants should have at least a Master’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Development Studies or a related social science discipline, and should have at least eight years’ experience in social monitoring of transport projects especially in the road sector or similar large infrastructure supervision projects.
The applicants should be conversant with Government of Malawi Policies and legal frameworks related to social safeguards and World Bank Policies on Health and Safety Standards.

Environmentalist
The applicants should have at least a degree in Environmental Studies, and should have at least eight years’ experience in environmental management and monitoring of transport projects especially in the road sector or similar large infrastructure supervision projects. The applicants should be conversant with Government of Malawi Policies and legal frameworks related to environmental safeguards and World Bank Policies on Environmental Standards.

Surveyor
Applicants should possess a degree in Land Surveying and should have at least 5 years field surveying experience. Persons who possess a Diploma in Surveying and have worked on road surveying for not less than 10 years may apply for this post. Applicants should have full knowledge to work with Total Station and GNSS survey equipment. They should be computer literate with knowledge of relevant surveying software.
