Ethanol Company Limited (EthCo), is an ethanol and allied products manufacturing firm located in Dwangwa. As part of the process of realigning the Company’s Technical Operating Model (TOM) with its strategy, EthCo seeks to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Malawians to fill the following newly created positions in the company.

BOILER OPERATOR

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the incumbent shall, among other things, be responsible for the following:

• Operating and maintaining the coal boilers
• Managing steam de-superheating system
• Operating water softener
• Operating and controlling cooling tower equipment
• Minor maintenance of equipment
• Record keeping of shift activities and all associated data
• Adhering to all safety, health and environmental requirements
• and procedures.

The ideal candidate must have the following basic qualifications and attributes:

• Full Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent with strong passes in Mathematics and English.
• Grade 1 National Trade Test Certificate in General Fitting. A City and Guilds Certificate in Mechanical Engineering shall be an added advantage.
• Must be within the range of 25-40 years of age
• Must have more than 3 years experience doing similar work.
• Must be prepared to work odd hours.
• Must demonstrate good communication skills.
• Must have reasonable level of computer literacy
• Must be of sober habits.
