Ethanol Company Limited (EthCo), is an ethanol and allied products manufacturing firm located in Dwangwa. As part of the process of realigning the Company’s Technical Operating Model (TOM) with its strategy, EthCo seeks to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Malawians to fill the following newly created positions in the company.

PLANT OPERATOR
Reporting to the Process Engineer, the incumbent shall, among other things, be responsible for the following:

• Plant operation – fermentation;
• Plant operation – distillation and dehydration;
• Quality monitoring;
• Maintenance shutdown jobs;
• Staff supervision;
• Adherence to EthCo safety standards.

The ideal candidate must have the following basic qualifications and attributes:

• Full Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent with strong passes in Mathematics, English and Science subjects.
• A Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Grade 2 National Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. A City and Guilds Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering shall be an added advantage.
• Must be within the range of 25-40 years of age
• Must have more than 3 years’ experience doing similar work.
• Must be prepared to work odd hours.
• Must demonstrate good communication skills.
• Must have reasonable level of computer literacy
• Must be of sober habits.
