Job Title: Security & Surveillance Manager

Reporting to: Director of Finance & Administration

Role Overview

The Security & Surveillance Manager’s main role is to manage Security Department to ensure the protection of company assets, guests, and staff, in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.

Key qualification and attributes

• In possession of Bachelor’s Degree with more than 7 years of working experience notably from the Malawi Police Services or Malawi Army.
• Mature individual with exceptional leadership skills and demonstrate outstanding surveillance skills.
• Excellent knowledge of investigative skills and practices with attention to detail.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in the usage of computer and relevant security software applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Fair understanding of the criminal procedure and evidence code.
• Must be conversant with modern corporate governance practices including  reporting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage Security Department to ensure the protection of company assets, guests, and staff in accordance with company Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure effective communication with all management and staff, as far as security, surveillance and compliance matters are concerned.
• Responsible for management of all security team members including the outsourced security personnel.
• Responsible for initiation and implementation of security risks preventative measures accordingly and ensure compliance on safety and health regulations in consultation with the Director of Finance and Administration.
• Monitor daily incident reports and ensure that all incidents are attended to
• Assist staff and company clients with investigations and offer recommendations
• Monitor Stock audits done by team members and ensure that variances are actioned.
• Monitor security expenses and control budgets for all the security operations.
• Write security for the management on organization’s current security status.
• Attend reports meetings with Managers to determine operations requirements.
