Lilongwe Pentecostal Church Christian School (LPCCS) is a well-established school,registered with the Government of Malawi and licensed by the Ministry of Education. LPCCS follows the Government calendar and is compliant with the Education Curriculum issued by the Malawi Institute of Education enforced by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. LPCCS is founded on Christian Faith and equally accepts learners from other faith backgrounds.

LPCCS is urgently looking for suitable candidates to fill the following position:

JOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

GRADE: C

SECTION: ADMINISTRATION

REPORTING TO: THE HEAD TEACHER

WORKSTATION: LILONGWE

PURPOSE:

The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for managing the human resources function at LPCCS, ensuring the effective recruitment, development, and retention of staff.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Teacher and other members of the administration team to maintain a positive and productive work environment, aligned with the School’s Christian values and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain high-quality staff.
  2. Manage the entire recruitment process, from advertising to onboarding, ensuring compliance with LPCCS policies and procedures.
  3. Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date staff records, including personnel files, contracts, and leave records.
  4. Coordinate staff training and development programs, ensuring alignment with the school’s strategic objectives.
  5. Provide guidance and support to staff on HR-related matters, including performance management, discipline, and grievance procedures.
  6. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to human resources, ensuring compliance with Malawi Labour Laws and Regulations.
  7. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting staff well-being and engagement.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR matters with discretion and professionalism.
  9. Be responsible for the implementation of School Uniform Policy; Transport Policy and Logistics at LPCCS.

Education Qualification and Experience:

The suitable person should possess a Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning. A minimum of three years of experience in human resource management, preferably in an educational setting, is required.
